NUPI Americas Pours $6.2 Million Into Polypropylene Pipes and Fittings
NUPI is known for its high quality PP pipes and fittings which are typically used to carry hot and cold water in AC systems. NUPI is currently working on a 50,000 square foot facility to expand its operations in the US for their polypropylene pipes and fittings. They are aiming at a 2 year goal to manufacture 95% of all pipes sold in the US and are investing a hefty $6.2 Million to get this accomplished. This company differentiates itself due to the use of random copolymer PP which offers a superior resistance to high temperatures and pressures. Leaky Pipes in Anna Nagar Means Trouble for Local Residents
Residents of Anna Nagar reported feeling sick and nauseous at the beginning of September. Residents and officials had a sneaking suspicion that a sewage line was mixing in with the water main. After carrying out a 25 day investigation, they found the cause: an old concrete pipe that was leaking at the joint. Sewage from a nearby drain had made its way into the concrete water line through the failed joint. Luckily, it was fixed and drinking water appears to be safe for residents. However, this still shows a need to update the piping infrastructure soon since the existing infrastructure is in poor condition.
