AGRULINE HDPE Pipe System Saves Money and Time in Singapore
AGRULINE HDPE Pipe System Saves Money and Time in Singapore
Singapore recently changed its requirements for Hydrofluoric acid and water safety. It cannot be included in water prior to treatment due to new environmental protection laws. A semiconductor manufacturer had to re-route its systems to a new water treatment facility because of this change. They made the entire new system out of HDPE which saved money and time. Because of the HDPE flexibility and strength, it requires less pipe support and less flanges. HDPE to the rescue once more!

HDPE Plumbing System Change in Philly
Metal pipes are out, HDPE is in. Philly was operating on older metal pipe systems for its plumbing in high rise buildings. The city recently changed some of its legislation to allow HDPE piping to be installed in buildings up to 150 feet. This saves time and money for construction companies making for a truly positive outcome for Philly. Additionally with the pipe's lighter weight, it will be much less of a strain to install these systems. Hopefully they continue on this path and can continue to make their plumbing systems more efficient for all of the city!

CertainTeed Wrestles With Legal Fines Due To Non Potable Water Source
CertainTeed, a vinyl siding and pipe manufacturer, was recently fined $365,500 due to the use of a non potable drinking source. The piping system was also set up improperly (not installing a backflow preventer) which caused contaminated water to be supplied to the corporation's employees. After 4 years of EPA and LDH warnings, CertainTeed has finally installed a new drinking source and proper piping system to keep its employees safe.
